The school year is finally winding down and i FINALLY got a chance to post this blog. So I received the Beauty Vox Box a couple weeks ago and I really wanted to try things out before I posted anything, Which I HAVE :) So here is my honest opinion about it. (BACKUP- for those of you that don't know, VoxBox is a free box. You only get it if you qualify. You can qualify by having blogs, social media things like Facebook, Twitter etc. and a youtube...which I don't post videos just because I don't want to open myself up to those nasty post from haters. If you do qualify they send you this awesome box filled with goodies to try and give your opinion on it and get the word out. So what was in my box? As you can see TONS of good stuff. I received Sally Hanson's salon nail stickers (full size), Aveeno body wash (sample size), Bath and Body Works body spray in Twilight Woods (Full size), Chapstick Lip Shield 365 with SPF 50+ (full size), Soy Joy single serving in Blueberry, Sheer Cover concealer in Med/Dark and Dr. Schols Ball of Foot cushions.
1. Sally Hanson's salon effects polish strips- Don't know if you can tell but the one they sent was very VERY glittery. Pretty, but not for everyday use. I see these being used for a special occasion, maybe New Years Eve...too much of every day use for me. Other than that, instructions are fairly easy. You find the one that fits your nail size, peel it from the plastic its on and put on nail. Its supposed to last 10 days, but mine started chipping a little before, just like any other polish. I like them because you don't have to wait for it to dry and it comes out nice!! Try them out and see for yourself. I think if I get them I'll get a more neutral color or something simpler.
2. Aveeno Body wash- This stuff was awesome, it has a great scent and very moisturizing. I have those nasty little bumps on the back of my arms and this stuff was so good they started to go away. I am definitely buying this in the future. GOOD STUFF!!
3. Bath and Body Works body spray in Twilight Woods- I was surprised by the size of this baby!! I was really hoping I'd get the Paris spray, but I didn't. So ...the scent last a good while. You do need to re-apply to stay fresh. It does last longer right after a shower. The scent really isn't my favorite. Not a bad scent but not what I like to smell like...dare I say ...a bit grandma-y :/. I'm actually passing this on to my sister who really likes it! (http://www.bathandbodyworks.com)
4. Chapstick Lip Shield 365 with SPF 50+- I haven't owned a 'chapstick' for a good while. I've been a lip balm girl for some time now. When I first got it I was like "eh...chapstick". BUT I think this is a keeper. I LOVE the smell, a bit lemony which I like alot. I also like that it has such a high SPF. My lips tend to chap and peel alot in the summer and this is the perfect lil lippy to carry to keep them moisturized and looking good.
5. Soy Joy Blueberry- MMMMM!! I don't know if it was that I was hungry when I got my package or really anxious to try this baby but it was GOOOOD! It looks like a skinny lil pound cake with blueberries and smells like HEAVEN. SO GOOD!! I am really going to look for these. LOVED IT!! Its about 140 Calories and way better than a blueberry muffin. Try these babies out!
6. Sheer Cover concealer- This was supposed to be the main thing in this box. I have tried it before in one of my glam bags, they sent a light/medium shade and VOX BOX was medium dark shade. The medium/dark they sent really fit me. Its a super creamy concealer that has two shades. I use the lighter one under my eyes to brighten and the darker one for any spot concealing. I really like this concealer. I think Sheer Cover offers a kit for about $23 with a lot in it. I'd buy it, but I'm up to my head in makeup. :( Anyway, its got good coverage and super smooth!
7. Dr. Scholl's For Her Ball of Foot Cushions- I've owned these before. Dr. Scholl's has a lot of good foot products. These are very nice, you put them where the ball of your foot would be and instead of having a hard place for your foot to stand on you have this cushiony almost massage for your toesies!
So, I'll be using most of these product, and re-purchasing more in the future. I am grateful I was selected to try this stuff out. I hope they choose me again for another review...but I got to be better and posting things ASAP. Let me know if you try any of these things out. :)
