NYX Tango with MERENGUE FLUSH

Hello beauty bloggers,
So for today's P.O.D. I have chosen the wonderful NYX Tango with Merengue Flush. This stuff is awesome!!! The color sort of reminds me of Orgasm from NARS and just like NARS multiple stick this stuff works the same. This product gives such a pretty glow for summer and you could top it off with NARS or even the ELF contour blush and bronzing powder http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/face/blush/contouring_blush_and_bronzing_powder to have it stay put.

Hello Bombshell!!

Todays P.O.D. come from the sexy Victoria's Secret. I am a huge VS fan, as far as their bras and panties, body mists and cremes, but I've never really quite payed much attention to the makeup line they had. Yes I have seen it here and there on Youtube tutorials and other blogs but I've never gone out of my way to purchase any.
Well, the other day I happened to make my way into VS and while I was about to purchase my items, there it was, in a beautiful packaging of Adriana Lima, in bright pink, the Hello Bombshell palette. They did have a bigger pallete but I figured with all the darn makeup I have now, I'd never finish using that thing, so I went with the smaller one which was around $30.
Now if your like me...$30 is a pretty heft amount for makeup ( I like the cheap stuff heheh) but I decided on it anyway just because I fell in love with the eye shadows in the palette. The are rich, blend-able and sparkly and I like that. ALSO, this lil palette has a great variety of lip shades and glosses, a baby eye liner, baby lip liner, baby mascara and 3 face powders AND 4 blushes. All very nice shades.
So...what can I tell you about this palette. THe color pay off is amazing. THe shades all show up so well on my skin and they do last. I tried the mascara on today, and that is the only thing I can tell you I'm not too fond of. It was very thick but didn't seem to catch on my lashes much. Other than that, this thing is awesome. Its a nice complete palette for an over night stay or to take on a weekend getaway.
I didn't have time to swatch the colors but I'll be sure to do it some other time. :)

Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick

As promised...here is day one of P.O.D. and  the product I've chosen for today is from Rimmel. Rimmel is one of those brands that always catches my attention, maybe its the cool packaging, but sometimes those colors are just amazing. So a couple days ago I went to Wal-grens with my future sister in law and I found myself reaching for the Rimmel  section which was 50% off. I haven't purchased any lipsticks in a while, but I wanted a good shade that was not over the top and could reach for everyday. I purchased the Moisture Renew lipstick in Rose Blush. Its a beautiful color, a rosy shade that seems a lil sheer but very buildable. What even cooler about these is that it really does keep my lips moisturized and it is SO shiny, no need for a gloss. The cooler part that makes this line even better for summer...its SPF18. Your lips get the protection they need, moisture, a great shine with no sticky mess. Its awesome!!!! I might even go back for some more ....hehe :)

This is what Rimmel's site says about it : " Smoother Lips, Better Colour; This moisture-infused lip essential reduces lip dryness by up to 65% for smoother lips and better colour. Developed with SPF 18 and a cutting edge Self Adapting Moisture Complex that features Hylaronic Acid, Collagen and Vitamins A, C and E to nourish lips, leaving them with a smoother surface for better colour application and wear. 24 creamy".

I tried to swatch, but because its shiny, the color doesn't show up so great.  So i just went with a lip shot!! HAHA!! Try it out...tell me what you think!!

Product of the Day

So I have been really bad at keeping up with my blogs. I don't even know why I chose to make so many. I guess I thought I'd have a lot more free time, but...as it turns out, I didn't. BUT...since I am a teacher I am fortunate enough to have summers off :) YAY!! And, since I'm a shop-a-holic I have a million and one products I'd love to share. So...I've decided to do a "Product of the day".
This will give me the oppourtunity to actually use all those forgotten about products and share them with my fellow blogger friends...the few I have (thank you by the way).
So...what should you expect from this P.O.D..... well I'll probably share 1. how I use the product, 2. What I think about it, 3. Swatches (if it applies). The P.O.D. might be a makeup product, body or face product, hair product or maybe...I might throw in a fashion product.
I'm hoping that doing this will take my complete attention and keep me from buying more products ( I am trying to save up for my wedding next June :) ). So, I hope you tune in and maybe share some or your favorites and comment.

See ya tomorrow :)

New Surprisingly Favorite Mascara

SOOO...A couple weeks ago I was running late (like always) and didn't notice I had forgotten to put mascara on as well as my eyelash curlers. So I HAD to stop a Walgreen's really quick and pick one up. LMAO Of course I didn't just come out with ONE thing...I wasn't looking for anything super expensive so I immediately headed for the Wet N Wild area, which was luckily 'buy one get one half off'...Had to do it!!! First thing that caught my eye were the eye palettes, which I got in Greed...pretty, pretty palette, incredible I must say!!! I figured I might as well get a mascara and picked out the Mega Plump mascara in Black and waterproof!!
I have to say I was surprised by how great this mascara really is. I was already thinking it was going to be what i payed for which was about $3,but it is REALLY good!!! It makes my lashes look super long (which I don't normally have), almost falsie long and plumps with out clumping and I would consider this a build able mascara but you probably have to apply right away, coat after coat. I've been wearing this mascara everyday since I bought it and would happily re-purchase. Thanks for stopping by!!

Who needs MAC??

Lately I've been trying out some new stuff and boy oh boy, have I come to love this stuff. I've officially traded in my MAC Studio FX powder and foundation for Mark. face xpert and Mark. powder buff. This stuff is just as good as MAC but so much cheaper. The bottle of foundation is like $9. I really like it...I even got a compliment from my 'all MAC' cousin saying my face had a 'nice glow' to it :D. HAHA..You should def.try this stuff out for yourself. With the price being so low...so worth it!!!

New Favorite - Hawaiian Thermal Volcano Warming Mask

I just tried out Avon's Planet Spa Hawaiian thermal volcano warming face mask...I FREAKING LOVE IT!!! It gets really warm when you rub it on our skin and feels so good. I thought this mask was going to be like a clay but its more like a thick wash. It has exfoliating particles in it that feel WONDERFUL and it smells soo good. Let me write what it says in the back " Treat yourself to pampering luxuries inspired by Hawaii's natural resources. Cleansing, exfoliating mask contains macadamia nut oil, a known emollent plus bentonite, derived from volcanic ash. Warms skin on contact to polish away flakiness and removes excess oil to improve texture and reveal soft, healthy glowing skin." Needless to say this made my face feel absolutely flawless. It is so smooth to the touch. I used it at night and applied my night cream after which went on super smooth, way more than usual. I know i shouldn't, but i keep touching  my face. :D I wanted to try MAC's Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask, but I found this one instead for WAY cheaper. I have not tried MAC's but I'm betting it would be about the same, or even better. I unfortunately purchased this off the clearance catalog from AVON, but I'm hoping there will still be some this time around cause I'm planning on stocking up. So if you get a chance I HIGHLY recommend you try this stuff out!!! It was around 3.99 when I purchased it.
