Scandaleyes, Rimmel (Spring VoxBox)

Its been FOREVER!!! I always say I'm going to post and then life happens.... So I'm back to review some items that were sent to me through Influenster. What they do is send out products to be tested and reviewed by people, in return for free products we just have to try them out and test them. Sounds like a good deal ...right!!

Well, this was one of my favorite products in the Spring Vox Box, the scandaleyes mascara from Rimmel.

I love this mascara. Everything about it is lovely. Its a nice, fat tube that fits nicely in your hand. The brush is huge and gets every lash and the texture and formula in this mascara is amazing. Its thick and really black and the best thing...I did not see any flaking as it wore through the day or smearing! I absolutely loved it. I will be repurchasing in the future!

I love Rimmel! You can find it at any retail/drugstore and its super inexpensive. I lost my card that comes with the box so I'm not exactly sure how much it is, I'm guessing under $7, which is a great price for this little treasure!!

So...if I were you ...I'd go out and try this baby out!! I'd give it 4 stars our of 5!! Good job Rimmel!!

New Surprisingly Favorite Mascara

SOOO...A couple weeks ago I was running late (like always) and didn't notice I had forgotten to put mascara on as well as my eyelash curlers. So I HAD to stop a Walgreen's really quick and pick one up. LMAO Of course I didn't just come out with ONE thing...I wasn't looking for anything super expensive so I immediately headed for the Wet N Wild area, which was luckily 'buy one get one half off'...Had to do it!!! First thing that caught my eye were the eye palettes, which I got in Greed...pretty, pretty palette, incredible I must say!!! I figured I might as well get a mascara and picked out the Mega Plump mascara in Black and waterproof!!
I have to say I was surprised by how great this mascara really is. I was already thinking it was going to be what i payed for which was about $3,but it is REALLY good!!! It makes my lashes look super long (which I don't normally have), almost falsie long and plumps with out clumping and I would consider this a build able mascara but you probably have to apply right away, coat after coat. I've been wearing this mascara everyday since I bought it and would happily re-purchase. Thanks for stopping by!!

Eye Makeup Remover

Most of us use our handy dandy waterproof mascaras for everyday...well, I do haha, so I wanted a remover that was really going to work. I tried the AVON 'moisture effective eye makeup remover lotion' (about $4) for a while and although it did work, I wanted to try things that weren't 'lotion like'. The product comes in a little white flip top container or 2 fl. oz.
http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.aspx?pf_id=30988
After trying this product, I decided...hmm...maybe I need something more...SO I purchased a sample size of Clean and Clear ® Soothing eye makeup remover that claims to be oil free.
I was really excited about this product, maybe because the packaging was so darn cute. This product has a has a screw off top which might not be a good idea if you are accident pron. Anyways, this stuff wasn't horrible, but it just didn't take my mascara completely off. Here’s an example of how this product worked in my makeup removal routine. 1. Remove eye makeup. 2. Remove face makeup. 3. Remove eye make up again. 4. Apply eye cream and still try and get rid of eye makeup. GRRR!!. See the stuff just wouldn’t come off with this make up remover. SO...I heard Neutrogena had a really good eye makeup remover, but when I went to Wal-Mart I noticed they had the dupe for it by Equate and bought it. It’s called Equate ® Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover.

The product is 5.5 fl oz and was about $4.The packaging is similar to the Neutrogena one and has a screw off top, which I don't really prefer, but... I really like this product. The first time I used it I thought I put too much of in on my cotton ball, but I really didn’t. I say this because the cotton ball felt cold and really wet and the product literally just came right off. I didn’t have to rub like crazy like I did with the Clean and Clear ®, and it removes the mascara, and eye shadow, and brow product all in like a sweep or the wrist. So...If I had to recommend eye makeup remover Id tell you to get the Equate ® one, or if you like the lotion feel, the AVON remover. :D
